Red Means Lust

Please follow the link to view the rough cut of my first narrative film “Red Means Lust”. Starring Kyle Ruckert, Bree Babers and introducing Liv Link, Red Means Lust is the creepily compelling tale of a boy breaking up with a girl and her unlikely comeback.

I take no credit for the music but full credit for the story line and videography. Enjoy!

Daenerys’ Rage

My husband is dead.
My line is broken.
I must seek my vengeance.
I will not be forgotten.
They see my silver hair and pale pearl skin.
My eyes are touched with amethysts.
Yet my enemies see nothing
but a girl hiding behind dragons.
I must strike now,
for the Iron Throne is rightfully mine.
With my dragons at my side,
to my enemies I will not be kind.
But people will see the danger in my eyes,
and the strength behind my words.

Penguin, They Yelled

It was the cold that bothered

everyone the most.

The watery green paint chilled

the female competitors.

The men jumped up and down and huddled

warming their egos

She stood away from her sisters and looked

to the enthusiastic Phi Kaps.

Her smile hid her subconscious envy as she wanted

to be welcomed into their ranks.

Over the squeals of excitement, she heard

her name whispered to others.

She saw one of the men quickly disappear

into the sea of bros.

“Penguin!” they yelled!

Immediately they swarmed around me, repeating

the word penguin.

Chests bumped into each other excitedly

as I felt a surge of warmth wash over me.

In that instant I could have cried,

but not from sadness or the bitter cold.

It was acceptance that I could feel

and I knew I belonged.

Snap Me

I’m waiting.

Can’t you hear the silence between us?

It’s anxiety but

it sounds more than lust.

So fleeting.

That image of you is so fleeting.

It may be enough for ten seconds, but I can’t

ignore how it makes my heart start rapidly beating.

I’m waiting again.

My iPod looks so lonely in my hand again.

I smile back with a wink to display my feelings and

the cycle once again begins.

The Gods

I imagine the gods saying we will love them again.

I imagine they say many things to each

other, but not a lot to us.

But maybe there’s a reason for that.

We question them, plead with them and even

threaten them, demanding to know what we did wrong

to deserve the fate handed us.
